Hi. This is Jason McCabe. I’m the founder of Drypex Ltd.
I’ve been in this line of work since I was 16, starting as a joiner and gaining extensive experience in renovations, refits, and tackling damp issues. Growing up, I worked with my father on older block, brick, and stone houses, learning to use traditional materials and approaches suited to older properties. An understanding of these older buildings was passed from father to son.
Back then, we often thought rising damp was the problem, but as we now understand, it’s not always the case. That’s why I take a more traditional, practical approach to these issues rather than resorting to modern solutions like pumping walls full of chemicals, which often just push the problem further down the road. That said, we embrace modern solutions and adapt them to traditional buildings, to ensure they remain warm and dry.
As for my team, my brother-in-law Pascal brings nearly 40 years of experience in general building and renovations. Other team members add close to 100 years combined experience.
Together, we bring those decades of hands-on knowledge to every project. Our team has a wide range of experience, from general building and renovation to more specialist and bespoke projects. They are highly skilled, dependable, work to stringent quality assurance and quality control standards – meaning we have planning and processes in place to ensure that our work is done correctly the first time and checked again thoroughly throughout and when we complete each task.
When it comes to damp and similar issues, my approach is always honest and unbiased. I’m not here to sell you products or promote any specific suppliers or manufacturers. Providing a quality service that works for our clients is our number one goal. We understand the pressures and difficulties people can experience.
My goal is to provide straightforward advice to help you make your building drier, warmer and more comfortable using the most effective solutions.
